In under six months, 1LaNe-affiliated creatives have played key roles in two of the most impactful Afrobeats albums in recent memory. Wizkid’s Morayo and Davido’s 5IVE, both of which have made cultural and commercial waves across Africa and beyond.

Wizkid – Morayo

Released in November 2024, Wizkid’s sixth studio album Morayo debuted at #1 on Apple Music Nigeria, trended across more than 93 countries, and cemented his legacy as a global Afrobeats icon. Morayo is the biggest day streams by an African Album on Spotify globally. Among the creative contributors to the project was Zichy.

ZICHY

Zichy is a rising star under 1LaNe, who was involved in the songwriting process on the album. His input represents the caliber of talent nurtured by 1LaNe, creatives who not only understand the sound of now but are helping define the future of African music.

Davido – 5IVE

On April 18, 2025, Davido released his fifth studio album, 5IVE, which quickly broke the record for most first-day streams on Apple Music Nigeria in 2025 and soared to the top of charts across multiple countries. The album is the first African Album to debut 12 songs on the UK Spotify Daily Songs chart.

BARDBANKS

BARDBANKS, a brilliant singer/songwriter and 1LaNe client, contributed to the powerful, fan-favorite track ‘Be There Still’. The emotionally charged record stands out as one of the project’s defining moments proof of BARDBANKS’ ability to deliver penmanship that connects deeply with listeners.
